Specify the Complete Insulated Glass Unit
Insulated glass units (IGUs) use panes separated by a sealed cavity. Double-glazed units have two panes; triple-glazed units have three. Specify the assembly from outside to inside so the quote addresses the complete unit. Supply feasibility is reviewed for the proposed configuration.

Low-E and Solar-Control Requirements
For a Low-E or solar-control specification, send the required coating or performance targets, including U-value, solar heat gain coefficient and visible light transmission where applicable. Include the reference method and whether the targets concern the glazing or the complete window system. These values need to be assessed for a defined construction. A coating name alone does not establish the performance of every unit. We confirm the proposed glass and available supporting documentation during quotation review.
Cavity, Spacer and Edge-Seal Details
The cavity, spacer and edge-seal specification are part of the unit, alongside the glass panes. Identify any required spacer system, air or gas fill, and sealant requirements. Where the unit will be used in structural glazing or another specialist assembly, include the relevant system details and compatibility requirements for review. Required materials and supply availability are confirmed for the order. We do not treat different spacers, fills or sealants as automatic substitutes for one another.
Glass Options and Fabrication Review
Include any clear, low-iron, tinted, tempered or laminated pane requirements in the glass schedule. If one pane is laminated, give the glass layers and interlayer specification as well as the overall IGU construction. Provide dimensioned drawings for shapes, offsets or other fabrication features, and identify the glazing system where available. Feasible sizes and fabrication details are reviewed together with the configuration and handling requirements. Send curved or otherwise complex units for a separate feasibility review.
Thermal, Acoustic and Safety Requirements Need the Full Build-Up
A project may ask one unit to address several requirements, such as solar control, noise reduction and safety glazing. Include each requirement in the enquiry and identify the documents needed for approval. The glass construction, cavity, edge system and final installation all matter to the assessment. Where acoustic performance is specified, request evidence for the relevant assembly rather than assuming double glazing is soundproof. Test reports or calculated values should identify the construction and the scope they cover.
Inspection, Packing and Project Delivery
Inspection records can be provided and third-party inspection can be coordinated for the proposed order. Share the inspection scope, approval documents and any identification or packing requirements before production is agreed. Tell us the destination, delivery programme and expected handling arrangements so packing and shipment can be discussed with the unit configuration. Production and transport timing are confirmed for the order. Do not assume a local replacement-glass delivery schedule applies to an export project.

Project questions
Are insulated glass units and double-glazed units the same?
Double-glazed units are one type of IGU. They have two panes separated by a sealed cavity. Triple-glazed units have three panes and two cavities. Use the full build-up to identify the required product.
Does Low-E describe a complete insulated unit?
No. Low-E describes a coating function, while an IGU is a complete assembly. The pane types, coating position, cavity and other components still need to be specified.
Can an IGU include laminated or tempered glass?
Include these pane requirements in your schedule. A laminated pane needs its own glass-layer and interlayer details, while tempered panes need to be identified in the overall construction.
Can you quote a required U-value or acoustic target?
Send the target, assessment method, complete construction if available, and required supporting documents. We review the proposed supply and documentation against those requirements before confirming the quotation.
Is this a local window-repair service?
Our focus is architectural project and trade supply from China, including glass for windows, facades and other building applications. We do not provide local installation or repair. A contractor or trade buyer can submit a replacement package with its specification, quantity and destination.
Do you have a minimum order or fixed delivery time?
Send the quantities, construction, destination and required date. Order suitability, production scheduling, packing and shipping terms are reviewed for the project rather than quoted as one universal limit.
