Custom Laminated Glass for Building Projects

EVERMADE GLASS supplies architectural laminated glass from China for contractors, designers and glass businesses. Tell us how the glass will be used, the required build-up and where it needs to be delivered. We review the specification and fabrication requirements before preparing a supply quotation.

Start with the Glass Build-Up

Describe the construction layer by layer, including the interlayer, rather than giving only the overall thickness. Start with the items below. If the specification is incomplete, send what is available and mark the open items.

Tempered / Toughened Laminated Glass

Tempered and toughened describe the same heat treatment in different markets. In a tempered laminated construction, the specified glass layers are tempered and then bonded with an interlayer. Identify the treatment of each layer in your schedule; laminated glass is not automatically tempered. Our Tobago reference below records a curved tempered PVB construction. For a flat or curved requirement, send the build-up, application and dimensions for a project-specific supply review.

Interlayer Selection for Your Specification

PVB is the interlayer used in our Tobago curved laminated supply reference below. If your project calls for acoustic PVB, an ionoplast interlayer or a named material, include the specification and required supporting documents. We will confirm the proposed material and availability during quotation review. Interlayers are not automatically interchangeable: an alternative needs to be assessed against the application, exposure, support conditions and project requirements. A product label alone does not establish the performance of a completed glazing system.

Fabrication Details That Affect the Quote

Send a panel schedule with dimensions and quantities, together with dimensioned drawings for shaped edges, holes, notches or cut-outs. Indicate which glass layers require tempering or another specified treatment and describe the edge finish. For curved panels, add the curve geometry, orientation and a clear definition of radius or diameter. Fabrication feasibility and dimensional requirements are confirmed for the proposed construction; dimensions from a past project should not be treated as a universal production limit.

Match the Construction to Its Application

Tell us whether the glass is intended for a facade, partition, canopy, roof glazing, barrier or another architectural application. Where the project sets impact, acoustic, structural or post-breakage requirements, share the relevant specification and required test documentation. These applications need different assessments. We discuss glass supply against your project requirements; the suitability of the final assembly also depends on supports, framing and installation details. Request evidence for the exact construction rather than assuming that all laminated glass has the same rating.

Supply Reference: Curved Tempered Laminated Glass for Tobago

EVERMADE GLASS supplied curved tempered laminated glass for a contractor on a building project in Tobago. The recorded build-up was 8 mm tempered glass + 2.28 mm PVB + 8 mm tempered glass. The recorded panel height was 3,623 mm and the maximum arc length was 2,898 mm. The available photographs show dimensional rechecking coordinated with the customer and subsequent timber packing. They document the supplied glass and preparation stages, rather than the installed building. For a similar curved requirement, send your project geometry and glass schedule for review.

Inspection Documents and Export Packing

Inspection records can be provided and third-party inspection can be coordinated for the proposed order. Include your inspection scope and document requirements in the enquiry so these can be addressed before production. Packing and shipment arrangements are agreed with the glass configuration, quantities, handling requirements and destination in mind. Tell us the destination country and port or delivery location, and identify any project-specific packing instructions.

Send the Information Needed for a Useful Quotation

Include the application, glass build-up, panel sizes, quantities, drawings, destination and required delivery programme. Add any specified performance, material or inspection documents. If a detail is undecided, mark it as open rather than guessing. For standard projects with the necessary information, a formal quotation is normally prepared within 1–3 working days; complex projects can require additional review. Our scope is glass supply. Your project team arranges installation.

Project questions

Is tempered glass the same as laminated glass?

Tempering is a treatment applied to a glass layer. Lamination bonds glass layers with an interlayer. Tempered laminated glass combines the two, so specify both the treatment of each layer and the laminated build-up.

Can you supply curved laminated glass?

Yes. Our Tobago supply reference uses curved tempered glass with a PVB interlayer. Send your geometry and build-up so we can review the requirements for your project.

Can I specify an acoustic or ionoplast interlayer?

Include the required material, performance target and documentation in your enquiry. Material availability and the proposed construction need confirmation; a general laminated glass description is not a tested acoustic or structural rating.

What is your maximum panel size?

The feasible size depends on the glass layers, treatment, interlayer, shape and handling requirements. Send the dimensions and full build-up for review; past project dimensions are not a blanket maximum.

Can laminated glass be used in an insulated glass unit?

A laminated pane can form part of an insulated glass unit. Specify the complete unit, including glass layers, cavity and any coating, so the combined construction can be reviewed.

What should I send if my specification is not final?

Start with the application, available drawings, approximate sizes and quantities, destination and any fixed performance requirements. Identify the undecided items so we can ask focused follow-up questions.

Have a glass schedule or drawing?

Send the information you have. Include the glass type, approximate quantity and destination. We can clarify the remaining details with you.
