Acoustic Glass for Building Project Specifications

Send EVERMADE GLASS the acoustic glass requirements for your project. Include the specified rating, glass construction, panel schedule and required evidence. The supply review starts with a defined requirement rather than a general promise of soundproofing.

Start With the Acoustic Requirement

State the noise source and requirement set by the project team. Share the acoustic schedule or consultant’s specification where available.

Identify whether the requirement applies to glass, a window, a partition or a complete façade. A request for quieter rooms provides context, but it does not define a glass product or a test scope.

Keep the Rating and Test Scope Together

STC, OITC and Rw are different acoustic ratings; their numbers should not be treated as interchangeable. If Rw with C or Ctr adjustments is specified, retain those terms in the enquiry.

Include the referenced test method and clarify whether the target concerns a laboratory product rating or a site result. A glass specimen report does not establish every installed window’s performance.

Describe the Proposed Glass Construction

For laminated glass, identify each glass layer and the specified interlayer. State explicitly if a particular acoustic interlayer is required; a generic laminated description does not establish that material.

For insulated units, list every pane and cavity, treatment and coating. Keep proposed alternatives separate from the specified construction. Supply feasibility and the required evidence need review for the actual combination.

Review the Evidence and Assembly

Identify the tested construction, specimen description, issuing laboratory, rating and scope in the requested documents. Flag any difference between the tested product and proposed supply before discussing equivalence.

Frames, seals and other sound paths can affect the finished result. The project team should confirm how the glass fits the wider acoustic design. This glass supply enquiry does not include site noise surveys or installation.

Prepare an Acoustic Glass RFQ

Send the application, specified rating and test scope, complete build-up, panel sizes and quantities, drawing revision and required documents. Include the destination and requested delivery date; mark open requirements for discussion.

Use the form for the summary and email drawings or reports to info@evermadeglass.com. Attachments are sent by email; the website form does not upload files.

Project questions

Is all laminated glass acoustic laminated glass?

No. Specify the interlayer and full construction. A generic laminated description does not confirm an acoustic material or a particular rating.

Can I specify only a noise reduction number?

Include the rating system, test scope and relevant project requirement. A number without its measurement context cannot define a reliable comparison.

Does a glass report guarantee the result in my room?

No. A report applies to the product and conditions described in it. The assembly, installation and other sound paths require separate project review.

Can you review an alternative construction?

Submit the specified and alternative constructions separately. Supply feasibility and the evidence needed for project acceptance must be reviewed before equivalence is agreed.

Have a glass schedule or drawing?

Send the information you have. Include the glass type, approximate quantity and destination. We can clarify the remaining details with you.
