Define the Glass Supply Package
A curtain wall includes more than the glass. Framing, anchors, seals, assembly and installation are part of the wider system. The façade contractor or system provider should identify the selected system and its glass requirements.
This page concerns glass procurement, rather than a quotation for an assembled curtain wall or site installation. If the drawings include associated components, list them separately so the proposed supply scope can be clarified.
Organise the Façade Glazing Schedule
Identify each glass item by panel number, façade zone or drawing reference. Keep the schedule and drawing revision consistent so repeated sizes, different constructions and quantities can be reviewed together.
Separate vision glass from opaque or spandrel areas where they are specified. Give the required construction and finish for each item rather than treating every façade panel as the same glass.

Match Each Item to Its Glass Configuration
Use the product guide that matches the specified construction. For insulated units, provide the pane and cavity build-up. For laminated panes, identify the glass layers, treatments and interlayer. Where low-iron glass or curved geometry is specified, state that requirement alongside the complete construction.
The project specification determines which configuration needs review; not every curtain wall uses the same glass. A request for a particular combination is reviewed against the drawings, material requirements and requested documents.
Clarify Dimensions and System Interfaces
Distinguish finished glass dimensions from façade module sizes, frame dimensions and site openings. Include the relevant system drawings, edge details and any specified steps, notches, holes or restrictions on fabrication.
State whether the glass is intended for off-site assembly or site glazing, and identify the required delivery point. System fit, supports and installation details need to be confirmed by the responsible project parties before the glass order is finalised.
Identify Performance and Documentation Requirements
Send the project specification and identify the documents required for the proposed glass construction. Clarify whether a stated target or test requirement concerns the glass alone or the complete curtain wall assembly.
Glass product data does not, by itself, establish the performance of the full façade system. Inspection records can be provided and third-party inspection can be coordinated for the agreed glass order; the document scope is confirmed for the proposed supply.
Plan the Glass Order and Delivery Sequence
For phased work, include the requested batch sequence, panel identification and packing or delivery requirements with the glazing schedule. Specify the destination and requested dates so the proposed supply and delivery terms can be reviewed.

Is this a quotation for a complete curtain wall system?
This enquiry route is for the glass supply package. Identify any other components separately for scope review. Framing, anchoring, system assembly and installation responsibilities need to be agreed with the project team and relevant suppliers.
Do all curtain walls require the same glass build-up?
No. Provide the construction specified for each façade zone, including the glass layers, treatment, coatings or cavities where applicable. Do not use a generic curtain wall label as the full glass specification.
Can a glass report establish the performance of the whole curtain wall?
A glass report applies to its stated product or construction and scope. Full-system performance also depends on the other components and their assembly. Identify the relevant project requirements and responsible parties.
