Patterned and Textured Glass for Project Supply
Prepare a patterned glass order around the actual texture sample, viewing side and finished glass construction. Include fluted or reeded references where that is the required appearance, together with the dimensions, quantity and project destination.

Match the Pattern With a Sample Reference
Patterned and textured glass searches include linear ribs, reeded or fluted appearances and other surface patterns. These names are useful starting points, but they do not define an identical profile across suppliers. Provide a close-up and a reference showing the overall effect. Confirm the actual pattern and material before ordering.
Specify Texture Direction and the Viewing Side
Mark the direction of the ribs or texture on the drawing, and show which face is intended to face the viewer or the inside of the assembly. Keep orientation consistent across adjacent panels and mirrored parts. Include a sample reference with the panel schedule.
- Pattern photograph or sample reference, with the required colour.
- Texture direction, viewing side and panel orientation.
- Finished glass dimensions, quantities and any machining.
Review Light and Privacy With the Actual Sample
Surface texture can change how objects are seen through the glass. Assess the proposed sample under the intended lighting and viewing conditions; a photograph alone does not establish a project privacy rating. We do not assign untested privacy grades or optical values to the displayed samples.

Confirm Processing for the Selected Pattern
Identify whether you need sheets or fabricated panels, and whether the project specifies tempering, lamination or an insulated unit. Processing options depend on the actual glass, texture and thickness. Include holes, cut-outs and edge requirements for review before confirming the construction.
Keep Textured Glass Separate From Printed Patterns
A textured surface and a printed ceramic pattern are different specification routes. For ceramic artwork, dot or line printing, coverage and print surface, use the fritted glass guide. For selecting among decorative finishes, use the overview.
Request a Patterned Glass Batch Review
Send the pattern reference, intended use, colour, proposed glass construction, texture direction, sizes and quantity. Include the destination and required documentation. Identify any unresolved details so that sample matching and fabrication can be reviewed before the order.
Project questions
How do I specify fluted or reeded glass?
Include the pattern reference, rib direction, colour and finished glass construction. Names alone do not establish an identical profile across sources; agree the actual sample for the order.
Can I order using only a pattern name?
Send a sample or photograph as well. Pattern names and profiles vary; the selected reference should be agreed with the order.
Are all displayed samples suitable for safety glazing?
No safety claim is made from the sample photograph. The finished glass construction and any required evidence need to be reviewed for the intended application.
Have a glass schedule or drawing?
Send the information you have. Include the glass type, approximate quantity and destination. We can clarify the remaining details with you.
